Privacy Policy

GetTaxi Sàrl (gettaxi.ch and taxi624.ch) — the privacy of our visitors is one of our main priorities.

This English translation is provided for convenience. In case of divergence, the French version prevails.

This document describes the types of information collected and recorded by GetTaxi and how we use it. If you have further questions or would like more information, do not hesitate to contact us (info@gettaxi.ch).

This Privacy Policy covers our online activities (our websites) as well as the TAXI 624 Driver application, for the information our visitors, customers and drivers share and/or that GetTaxi collects. It does not apply to information collected through other channels.

Consent

By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.

Information we collect

The personal information you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask for it.

If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you, such as your name, email address, telephone number, the content of the message and/or any attachments you may send us, and any other information you choose to provide.

When you create an account, we may ask for your contact details, including your name, company name, postal address, email address and telephone number.

How we use your information

• Provide, operate and maintain our website
• Improve, personalise and expand our website

• Develop new products, services, features and functionality
• Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the website, and for marketing and promotional purposes

Your ride and your e-mail address

For a ride, we record your name (or title), your phone number, your addresses and the time of the ride. If you give us your e-mail address (the confirmation screen of your booking, or the page of your receipt), we use it to send you your receipt and, from time to time, our offers. Every offer contains a one-click link to stop receiving them; messages about your rides (confirmation, tracking, receipt) still arrive.

If you ask for your price by SMS, we use your number to send it, then for a single reminder if you don't book. The reminder contains a “Stop” link to stop receiving anything.

Audience measurement

We measure, ourselves, without cookies and without any third-party tool, how our website is used: pages viewed, buttons tapped, booking steps and the website a visit comes from. These measurements are anonymous: no IP address, and nothing you type (number, address, name). We use them only to make booking simpler.

If you arrive through one of our ads (Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Instagram), we keep with your booking the click identifier the ad network adds to its link. It tells us which ad brought the ride; we may send it back to that network with the time and amount of the ride — never your name, number or addresses.

To fight fake bookings, we keep for 30 days, with each booking made on the website, a non-reversible fingerprint of the internet address and the type of device (for example "iPhone · Safari"). It is used only to recognise a series of fake bookings, then deleted.

Log files

GetTaxi follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamps, referring/exit pages and possibly the number of clicks. This information is not linked to personally identifiable data. It is used to analyse trends, administer the site, track users' movement on the website and gather demographic information.

Cookies and web beacons

Like any other website, GetTaxi uses “cookies”. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences and the pages of the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimise the users' experience by customising our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

Third-party privacy policies

GetTaxi's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. We advise you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party servers for more detailed information. You may choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options.

TAXI 624 Driver application

This section describes what our drivers' mobile application (TAXI 624 Driver) collects, in addition to the above.

Data collected: the driver's identity (name, professional phone number); their precise GPS position, continuously during their shift — including while the app is in the background, needed to offer them rides and let the customer know their taxi is arriving; technical diagnostics (crashes, error logs) to fix issues.

Purposes: ride dispatch, customer tracking of the driver during a ride, safety (local speed limit, route anomaly detection).

Retention: GPS traces and ride history are kept for 24 months; technical diagnostics for 30 days.

Sharing: no data is shared with third parties, except the technical subcontractors needed to run the service — our server host, Google Maps (routes and maps), our SMS operator, and Apple / Google for app notifications.

Rights and deletion: a driver may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data from the app, or by email at info@gettaxi.ch; their request is processed within 30 days.

Data protection rights (GDPR)

• The right to access — You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
• The right to rectification — You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate, and to complete any information you believe is incomplete.
• The right to erasure — You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to restrict processing — You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to object to processing — You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to data portability — You have the right to request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

Children's information

We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in and/or monitor and guide their children's online activity. GetTaxi does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you think your child has provided this kind of information on our website, contact us immediately: we will do our best to promptly remove such information from our records.
