Two villages have vanished from its land
Aclens once had three villages on its land. Only one remains: Chibi, where the parish church stood, and Saint-Christophe have vanished. People lived here from Roman times, but elsewhere — at the place called En Joux; today's village seems to appear before the 14th century. The archives record a great fire in 1416.
The lordship of Aclens, detached from that of Cossonay, was attached to Vullierens from 1410 to 1665, then bought in 1675 by the town of Morges; it also covered Romanel and Bremblens, and was judged by a châtellenie court of twelve members. On the Venoge, the Choc mill, recorded from the early 17th century, was long the only industry here.
